Our team of insurance building experts includes Senior Project Manager, Ashley (Ash) Byrne who has been with the business for almost a decade.
“I started with Sensus right around the time Cyclone Yasi hit North Queensland,” remembers Ash. “It was incredible to see Queenslanders banding together to recover from the natural disaster.”
Ash specializes in insurance works and is known for his expertise re-roofing damaged hotels, businesses, community spaces, and homes.
“Over the past several years our dedicated insurance team has specialized in catastrophe restorations, council maintenance works, makesafes and emergency repairs, and large-scale insurance commercial projects,” says Ash.
On any given day you can find Ash and the team delivering excellent results for our clients across SE QLD, Tropical North QLD, and Northern NSW.
“One job that really stuck with me was a resort completely decimated by Cyclone Debbie. More than 50 units across the resort had been severely damaged. The team worked efficiently to repair the resort’s roofing, external cladding and scoped a multitude of internal works across the hotel complex.”
In addition to a busy schedule of insurance works, Ash is also juggling a full schedule on the home front.
“Our company firmly believes our employees are our greatest asset,” says CFO, Callan Craighead. “That’s why we were happy to work with Ashley to cultivate flexible working conditions to benefit our insurance clients and his family.”
“Working flexibly gives my wife and I the ability to navigate two careers while simultaneously being there for our three boys,” says Ashley. “On any given day you can find me on site managing a major re-roofing job for an insurance client and the next managing activities for three young boys. In 2020, it’s important to have an employer who understands the value of work/life balance.”
