To ensure the structural and historical integrity of these buildings Sensus is proud to partner with the local councils to restore these pieces of our past.
Recently the team completed renovations on historic community halls in the picturesque towns of Samsonvale and Bellthorpe.
“Restoring historical buildings is an important part of maintaining our vibrant heritage,” says Sensus CEO, Sean Kenny. “In the picturesque hamlet of Samonsvale, the team installed an upgraded disability compliant ramp in-line with building’s historical style. They also fixed guttering and upgraded the backstairs.”
At Bellthorpe restoration works transformed almost century old windows back to their original glory.
“We worked closely with the local council to identify historically accurate woodwork, frames and latches,” says Project Manager, James Lee. “The council selected cedar wood to align with the original building.”
“We sourced traditional hardware that matched the original latches. The charm of these windows is you actually push them up and secure them with a ‘sash lift,” says James.
